Beau Piggott | Built for the World Stage
Forged Through Fire
Despite having just turned 18 years old, Beau Piggott has already amassed a wealth of experience in amateur boxing. With nearly 40 fights under his belt, he’s no stranger to the pressure, the grind, and the big moments within the sport of boxing.
Based in Melbourne, Beau trains out of Peninsula Boxing, one of Victoria’s most respected gyms. It’s here that Beau continues to sharpen his skills, surrounded by a team that pushes him to grow both as a fighter and as a person.
From Melbourne to the World
Beau’s boxing journey began at the age of 11. After doing pad work with his dad for fun, the two decided to step into a boxing gym to see what he was really made of. It didn’t take long to find out. Just one year later, Beau had his first official fight and finished that year as a state champion.

Since then, his hunger to improve has only grown. In 2024, Beau represented Australia at the Youth World Championships in America. While he didn’t leave with a medal, the experience proved to be a major turning point, one that gave him valuable insight into the international stage and the level he wants to reach.
Now competing at the elite level, Beau has his eyes firmly set on qualifying for the 2025 World Championships. In the long term, the goal is clear: win Olympic and Commonwealth Games gold, turn professional, and capture multiple world titles — all while building a future for himself and his family.
Driven by Precision
Beau’s favourite fighter is Naoya Inoue, known around the world as “The Monster.” It’s Inoue’s mix of surgical precision, raw power, and calm under pressure that inspires Beau to level up every time he trains. Like his idol, Beau is focused on perfecting the technical side of the sport, believing that smart boxing always beats reckless power.

He’s drawn to the mental game behind boxing — the strategy, the timing, the need to stay composed even when things get tough. For Beau, boxing is where discipline meets instinct. It’s what keeps him coming back every day, ready to do the hard rounds.
A Balanced Life
Outside the ring, Beau is just as focused. He’s currently working as an apprentice carpenter, putting in full days on the tools while still making time to train. He’s played basketball his whole life and enjoys playing guitar when he’s not competing, offering a mix of creativity, rhythm, and athleticism that carries over into his boxing style.
When it’s all said and done, Beau hopes to be remembered as a fighter who never ducked a challenge. Humble, grounded, and always ready for a hard fight, no shortcuts, no excuses — a mindset that will continue to bring him success.
